Wide Arm Back Stretch


Warming up of muscles is very important for ensuring that the body is ready for weights and exercises and to prevent injuries by reducing stiffness of the body.
Wide hand back stretch warms up your shoulder, upper back, toes and calf muscles.


  1. Stand with your feet together and hands in front facing each other.
  2. As you bring you hands back, raise yourself onto your toes.
  3. Try getting your hands to meet behind your back. Hold for a few seconds.
  4. Bring the toes back down once you bring the hands back to the starting position. 


  1. Keep your back straight.
  2. Look forward at all times.


  1. Do not bend your elbows.
